WINTER SKIN CARE PACKS FOR OILY, DRY AND MIXED SKIN

Skin care is very essential as a part of seasonal change. The winter cold adversely affect our skin and the skin condition. This is due to the fact that our immunity is low in winter. As a result, our skin becomes more sensitive and rapidly loses its tone.  How should we protect the skin from the cold of winter???

1. Oily skin care:

Below face mask is recommended for oily skin.

Ingredients:

Cottage cheese - 1 tablespoon
Kefir – 1 tablespoon

Procedure:

Mix the above ingredients to make a paste, scrape the skin.
Leave for about 15-20 minutes.
Wash with lukewarm water.

Benefits:

Cheese is considered excellent for healthy skin, since it includes a good amount of proteins, Vitamin A, riboflavin, calcium, phosphorous, zinc, and Vitamin B12. This is useful to maintain supple, healthy and glowing skin care.

Kefir face mask will help recover and regulate the alkaline/acid balance in the skin cells of the face (due to the useful lactobacilli in kefir). It also restrains amino acids which are extremely important and integral components for skin hydration. Moreover, these amino acids also functions like antioxidants and do not allow the skin to fade and wither.

2. Dry skin care:

In winter, the water should not be abused peeling and other application processes. Use the following mask.  

Ingredients:

Egg yolk - 1
Olive oil – 1 ½ teaspoon
Curd – 1 tablespoon

Procedure:

Mix the above ingredients and apply on your skin.
Wash it after 15 to 20 mins

Egg yolk nourishes and can help healing blemishes, it is mostly water and fats in it is a great emollient and water binding agent which means a lot to protect the dry skin.

Olive oil is loaded with nutrients and is a natural agent that helps to moisturize dry skin. Many people wish to use olive oil for dry skin because it contains extra amount of antioxidants, vitamin E, vitamin K and other wonderful ingredients that also offer anti-aging benefits.

Curd helps to obtain crystal clear skin inward as well as outward plus it leaves your epidermis with gleam and smoothness.

3. Mixed skin care:

Below is the pack mainly used for mixed or combination skin.

Ingredients:

Raw yolk- 1
Glycerin – 1 teaspoon
Apple- 1or 2 teaspoon

Procedure:

Mix the above ingredients.
Apply it to your skin.
Wash it after 15 to 20 mins

Raw yolk face masks work wonders for people with dry or half-cracked skin. The minerals in egg yolks helps to hydrate, nourish, and moisturize the dull skin.

Glycerin can be used as cleanser, toner and skin moisturizer. It also helps to retain the water in skin and plays a key role in cell maturation.

Apple is a beneficial fruit rich in copper, vitamin C and vitamin A which are skin-friendly nutrients. The vitamin C in apple helps to re-establish the collagen content of the skin.
